Jennylyn Mercado took to social media to defend the people of ABS-CBN from ‘cruel’ people.
Although she is not a talent of the Kapamilya network, Jennylyn Mercado lashed out the ABS-CBN’s bashers.
In a Facebook post on Friday, July 10 the day when the verdict of the House of Representatives came out, the Kapuso star said she’s one with those who are hurt by the situation.
“Sa mga lumuha at nawalan, our prayers and hearts are with you,” said Jennylyn
Rejoicing because of other people’s sorrow is not only wrong, but inhumane. You are cruel,” she added.
The actress also argued against those insisting that the “law is the law,” harking back at how violations made by public officials during the quarantine period went unpunished.
“If you say that then everyone should be held at the same standard,” she said.
She added: “Huwag muna tayo mag mananita.
“Will pray for everyone to be enlightened and to remember the values that make us human…
“Please be kind to one another. Thank you.”
This was not the first time Jennylyn defended ABS-CBN. Last May, following the network shutdown in compliance to the cease-and-desist order of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), she addressed a basher of the Kapamilya network.
