Heart Evangelista went on an ukay-ukay trip in Sorsogon in her latest YouTube vlog.
Heart Evangelista continues to cement her status as a style icon as she creates runway-worthy looks using thrift store finds.
In her new vlog, the actress visited different ukay-ukay shops in Sorsogon, buying clothes and accessories for as low as P20.
“If you’ve seen my Instagram stories lately, then you’d know how much I’m missing Fashion Week. So, I decided to go on a little fashion quest and see treasures I could find here in Sorsogon,” Heart said.
“In this episode, you’ll see me going around different thrift shops and ukay-ukay stalls and trying on my favorite finds, Fashion Week style (after we disinfected them, of course)!”
The actress shared that when she was younger, she used to go to ukay-ukay to find vintage pieces.
Styling her new purchases, Evangelista layered a white blouse with a dress, turned a skirt into a top, and cut denim jeans into shorts.
She then mounted a virtual fashion show with her friends at home, with matching commentary.
“Top this look with a P20 jacket. I love it, Balmain is shaking!” she said, referring to the French luxury fashion house.
“It’s all about how you put it together. That’s how you get the look, all about attitude,” she added.
From clothes to bags and accessories, Heart was able to purchase great finds in local stores in Sorsogon.
Towards the end of the vlog, Heart modeled for the camera wearing dresses that only cost her 20 pesos each.
Evangelista has been in Sorsogon “for over a month already” as pandemic-induced lockdowns continue. Her husband, Francis “Chiz” Escudero, is currently the governor of the province.
