NBI is hopeful it would be able to shed more light on the controversial d3ath of Christine Angelica Dacera.
As they find another “very encouraging evidence” towards it.
This was announced by NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin to the media this Monday, January 11.
The agency held an interview with some respondents in the Dacera case in their office today.
On Saturday, January 8, they conducted an autopsy on Dacera’s remains in General Santos City to find out what further evidence they can get in connection with the case.
Lavin said some of the evidence they collected appeared deteriorated and compromised.
Since Dacera’s body was already embaImed prior to their aut0psy.
He said it might be difficult to establish whether there was s3’xual abu’se before she was found d3ad in her hotel room in Makati City around noon last Jan. 1, several hours after joining a private New Year’s Eve party.
But Lavin assured they applied the “full forensic investigation” process to determine what really happened to Dacera.
On Monday, 11 personalities subpoenaed by the NBI are expected to drop by the bureau.
To give their testimonies as the last people with the victim before her d3ath.
“We are also asking the persons of interest to come forward and cooperate,” NBI spokesperson Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin said.
“Kung gusto niyong makipag tulungan sa NBI, meron kayong kaalam, you want to clear your names, you can come here with your lawyers. We rest assure you that we will handle the investigation as professionally as we could get,” he added.
Meanwhile, the results of the samples taken by the NBI at the City Grand Hotel during its crime scene investigation are expected to come out next week.
