Kim Chiu couldn’t contain her emotion as she face a contestant in “It’s Showtime” that said yes to ABSCBN shutdown

Kim Chiu got emotional upon facing a contestant in “It’s Showtime” who’s pro-ABS-CBN Shutdown.

As we all know, Kim Chiu is one of the Kapamilya celebrities who evidently show continuous support to ABS-CBN.

She kept active in defending the network amid issues on franchise renewal.

She also always expressing how proud she is to be a “Forever Kapamilya.”


Kim is very outspoken about supporting ABS-CBN in its fight for a fresh 25-year franchise.

To recall, the Love Thy Woman star became the target of criticisms online for her viral classroom analogy.

It all started when some Kapamilya stars gathered together for a #LabanKapamilya Facebook Live protest last May 8 to air their sentiments and heartaches following the network’s shutdown.

Here, Chiu compared the national laws to classroom rules that were made and should be followed by everyone, equally.


However, the Chinita star failed to explain her analogy right, hence, she got bashed.

Her epic statement became the subject of memes and even spawned dance challenges online.

The actress admitted that she was really affected to the point that she had to take a break in order to regain her emotional strength.

Previously, she gave a statement regarding a PBB housemate who supported the shutdown of her mother-network.

Chiu said she still

hopes that those who voted “yes to ABS-CBN shutdown” will be able to achieve their dreams.

And just recently, Chiu couldn’t hold her emotion as she faces a contestant in Tawag ng Tanghalan.

“Ganito pala ‘yung feeling” Chiu said as she burst out crying.
